I was wondering if you would be willing to do an analysis on ETFs which mock each of the GICS Sectors. I have done one in the past but would be interested to see your methodology. I have taken an investment course where we used fundamental analysis with a top down approach. I am sure it could be a valuable exercise for all of the members here.

Side note: Thank you for taking your time to dedicate towards the users here. I appreciate it all especially the download section with the financial models

    Another Frank.

I’ve always wondered if buying sector ETFs of sectors one assumes will perform and ignoring the sectors one assumes will underperform (like energy) would be a way to be outperform the S&P. It would make sense to me that if you had bought every sector individually and ignored just XLE you would outperform. The slight increase in fees to own the sector ETFs would be negligible especially if your assumptions proved correct.

Good Idea! Basically compiling a list of Sector ETFs as a sticky, so that people can buy them if they have a Sector View
